Oreshkin: There will be no cheap labor, Russians' salaries will continue to grow

There will be no cheap labor in Russia, but wages will rise, TASS quotes Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin.

According to him, there is a shortage of qualified specialists in the country, but this is not a matter of a shortage of personnel, but of a lack of management skills among managers in the field of management.

"There will be no cheap labor in our economy. Salaries have already increased and will continue to increase," Oreshkin added.

He also noted the importance of developing a lean manufacturing culture, which is now actively spreading to almost all areas of activity. Among the companies developing this culture, Oreshkin named Rosstat and Sibur.

"Today we see mass participation of various companies in these processes. People are beginning to understand what lean manufacturing is, it has become a trend, and this ideology has spread among the population," the deputy director for management summarized.

The Russian Ministry of Economic Development predicts that wages in Russia will grow by 35% in four years.

By 2027, the average monthly nominal wage will reach 119,296 rubles. However, taking inflation into account, the growth rate of real wages will slow down. Thus, the growth rate is expected to be only 9.2% this year, 7% in 2025, 5.7% in 2026 and 4.1% in 2027.
