Power supply restored in Abkhazia thanks to supplies from Russia
Thanks to Russian energy supply companies, power supply to the city of Sukhum and the western region of Abkhazia has been restored. This was reported to TASS by the press service of Chernomorenergo.
The company stated that there is currently electricity in the Sukhumi, Gudauta and Gagra districts, and work to eliminate the incident is ongoing. Representatives of Chernomorenergo are on site.
"A high-voltage line break was discovered on a section about 400 meters long. Special equipment has already been sent to the site. Work will continue until the accident is completely eliminated," explained Chernomorenergo.
At the end of September, for unknown reasons, the Transbaikal city of Mogocha was left without power. The time frame for restoration of power supply has not been disclosed. The city's population is about 12,000 people.
