Moldovan opposition leader accused of provocations ahead of elections
In Moldova, opposition leader Ilan Shor has been accused of destabilizing the situation ahead of the presidential elections and referendum on Moldova's accession to the European Union. This was reported to TASS by the head of the Intelligence and Security Service, Alexander Mutyatsa.
He said the manpower needed for the activity was reportedly recruited through trainers from private military companies (PMCs) in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In total, hundreds of searches were reportedly carried out as part of the investigation.
Earlier, Moldovan citizens living in Russia signed a petition demanding that the upcoming presidential elections and referendum on European integration in the republic be recognized as illegal. They cited the small number of polling stations in Russia as the reason.
