In Bashkiria, a six-year-old child swallowed nail clippers
Doctors at Ufa City Children's Hospital No. 17 removed pliers from a child's stomach. This was reported by the republic's Ministry of Health.
A special endo basket was used to remove a foreign body, which was successfully grasped and removed from the stomach of a six-year-old boy with forceps, without damaging the mucous membrane. The intervention was performed under general anesthesia.
The child was under medical observation for some time and was discharged for outpatient treatment. It is unknown under what circumstances the preschooler swallowed the forceps.
Earlier in Ryazan, doctors saved a girl who swallowed 37 magnets. The parents brought the child home quite late and discovered that most of the magnetic puzzle was missing. The preschool-aged child had to have the foreign body surgically removed.
