The tunnel under MCD-4 in north-east Moscow is over 90% complete

In the North-Eastern Administrative District, construction of tunnels and crossings under the 4th Moscow Central Diameter (MCD-4) continues. The facility is more than 90% complete, the capital's mayor and the government portal reported in connection with the head of the Department for the Construction of Transport and Engineering Infrastructure Vasily Desyatkov.

The tunnel-type overpass connects Skladochnaya and Dvintseva streets. As Desyatkov reported, finishing works on the tunnel section are currently being completed.

"When train traffic was stopped in preparation for the launch of MCD-4, the central part of the overpass was erected in three months by completely dismantling the railway track. Currently, work is being completed on the site to implement the architectural design solution. "He added.

As part of the first stage of the road network development project in the area of Dvintseva and Skladochnaya streets, from Streletskaya street to the Rizhskoye direction of the Moscow railway, a tunnel with one traffic lane in each direction is being built. The overall project involves the construction and reconstruction of a road network with a total length of 3.6 km.

Each stage of the work is supervised by inspectors of Mosgosstroynadzor, emphasized the head of the department Anton Slobodchikov. According to him, during this period, two field studies were conducted, including with the participation of specialized centers.

Previously, the readiness of the overpass (exit from the Moscow Ring Road in the southern direction of the Moscow Ring Road) was estimated at 80%. Concreting of the parapet has already been completed. Workers are marking out after starting work on installing waterproofing and laying asphalt. The structural part is also ready.
