'Hope He Doesn't Give Up': Despite Risk, Emaciated Karaoke Lion Cub to Receive Blood Transfusion
The health of a lion cub from Chechnya that was used as a photo prop is rapidly deteriorating. The animal was rescued from a karaoke bar in terrible condition. The baby had a broken leg, and his weak body would not survive without a blood transfusion. Volunteers continue to look for ways to save him.
"His condition is deteriorating. Today we will take blood from one of the lions in the hope that it will help him. "Blood transfusion is a very serious and dangerous process, but we hope that he will survive." This is the explanation from the Pride Lands Sanctuary, which is fighting for the lion cub's life.
Now it's up to you whether your baby will recover or not. The animal's body is extremely exhausted. Instead of special milk for predators, they were fed baby formula.
The karaoke staff provided the lion cub with such poor living conditions that in just 4 months its weight reached 4.2 kg. This is 10 kg less than the weight of other lionesses in the reserve. The baby was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
"At this point, we sincerely hope that he does not give up," the volunteers wrote.
Let us recall that in North Ossetia, animal volunteers found an emaciated lion cub in a karaoke club in Chechnya. They immediately began to save the baby. He was diagnosed with severe diarrhea, fractures of both front limbs, kidney inflammation, severe anemia and several digestive problems. In addition to this, the predators have poor eyesight, which is also associated with the terrible nutrition of the babies.
The lion cubs have not yet learned to eat meat, but at this age the little predators should begin to transition from milk. The rescued animals are now under 24-hour medical supervision. Every 24 hours you will undergo a new test to monitor changes in your baby's condition. Experts are afraid to make any predictions and hope that he does not give up.
