Rutte: NATO cannot confirm participation of DPRK military in NWO

The alliance's Secretary General also spoke about the bloc's strategy in the conflict.

NATO cannot confirm Ukrainian media reports about the participation of North Korean soldiers in special Russian military operations in Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said, TASS reports.

A few days ago, the High Representative of the European Union (EU) made the same statement. According to him, the EU has no evidence of the participation of North Korean troops in the Northern Military District.

Russia was the first in South Korea to deny these reports. This is how the Minister of National Defense Kim Yong Hyun interpreted the alliance agreement between Moscow and North Korea.

Rutte said Ukraine must continue to fight, that this is NATO's strategy, and the alliance does not want Russia to get what it wants.

According to him, the mission is to enable Ukraine to negotiate with Russia "from a position of strength." In his opinion, Western support should provide Kyiv with a strong negotiating position.

Rutte did not answer the question of whether Ukraine could be invited to the alliance in the near future, commenting on Volodymyr Zelensky's plans.
