Two decomposing bodies have washed up on a beach at a popular tourist destination in Spain.
Two decomposing bodies have washed up on the shores of a popular tourist destination on Spain's Costa Blanca coast. We write about this on the Olive Press portal.
The first body was found on a fishing boat 1km off the coast of Villajoyosa, and the second near El Campello in Alicante province. Both locations are just a few kilometres from Benidorm, a favourite holiday destination for British tourists.
Police are investigating. According to preliminary information, the bodies belonged to migrants who were trying to reach Spain by boat.
In late August, a man was found without any traces on a beach in Spain's Costa del Sol region. A passerby discovered it and alerted the rescue team, and police were immediately dispatched to the scene.
