Medvedev assessed the rate of recruitment of contract soldiers

According to the Vice President of the Security Council, the annual plan has already been fulfilled by 78%.

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting on the issue of recruiting contract soldiers into the Russian army, the transcript of which was published on the VKontakte page. According to him, as of mid-October, the annual target has been achieved by 78%.

Medvedev called these rates "very decent." "The most important thing is that there are no failures or other problems with the acquisition," he said.

In the published video, Medvedev did not specify the number of people who have served under contracts since the beginning of this year. By early July, this number had reached almost 200,000. In mid-September, President Vladimir Putin appointed Medvedev head of the Russian military registration and enlistment office.

Medvedev also told how he visited one of the contract service reception points in the Yaroslavl region together with the prosecutor's office and FSB officers. According to him, the situation has improved compared to last year, and no systemic violations were found.

Earlier this month, Medvedev called the contract with the Defense Ministry the only way to persuade Russian citizens to participate in military operations. "Payment systems and other forms of support are being improved. This work will continue until a complete and final victory over the enemy is achieved," Medvedev emphasized.

In the summer, payments for concluding contracts were increased in Russian regions. In Moscow, it rose to 1.9 million rubles. In St. Petersburg, it was increased one-time to 2.1 million rubles, and in Rostov Oblast, to 1.2 million rubles.
