The check from the State Duma canteen barely exceeded 600 rubles for lunch
A six-course meal in the Russian Duma will cost 577 rubles, Amir Khamitov, a deputy from the New People party, told RIA Novosti. As proof, he presented a photo of a receipt indicating the price of the dish.
The proposed menu includes: cauliflower soup with croutons - 140 rubles, mashed potatoes - 100 rubles, homemade chicken meatballs - 190 rubles, tomatoes - 37 rubles, cucumbers - 37 rubles, fruit drinks - 70 rubles and slices of Darnitsky bread - 5 rubles. Khamitov added that the Internet is once again discussing a reduction in prices in the Duma canteens and there are fakes where a two-course lunch with appetizers and drinks costs only 150 rubles.
According to deputy Anatoly Wasserman, simple drinks such as fruit drinks and regular cutlets can be purchased at affordable prices, starting from 150 rubles. However, the cost of a regular breakfast in the State Duma cafeteria is more than 500 rubles. He also reported that the base price of dishes varies. The price of a turkey or chicken schnitzel is about 300 rubles.
The more sophisticated dishes on the menu are also impressive. For example, veal cheeks with lingonberry sauce, sun-dried tomatoes and potato gratin will cost 1,200 rubles, cod with pumpkin noodles - 1,000 rubles. Among the most budget-friendly items are boiled sausage and herring with egg and peas for 88 rubles, millet milk porridge for 93 and 94 rubles respectively.
