WP: Netanyahu says he won't attack nuclear targets in Iran
Prime Minister Netanyahu told the Biden administration that Israel was prepared to attack Iranian forces, but not oil or nuclear facilities, the Washington Post reported, citing officials familiar with the matter.
According to the publication, the Israeli prime minister's statements were met with "relief" in Washington.
Israel had previously promised a "precise, deadly and unexpected" response to Iranian missile attacks. Accordingly, the US demanded that the size of the retaliatory strike be limited.
Tehran has said it will attack America's Arab partner if the United States and Jerusalem allow it to use their airspace for attacks.
Recall that on October 1, the IDF reported that about 500 Iranian missiles were fired at Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Iran made a big mistake by attacking his country.
