Russian President Putin signs law on deprivation of license for concealing car numbers
Currently, a fine of 5,000 rubles is provided for such violations.
Now this violation is punishable by deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of one to one and a half years and confiscation of any device that interferes with the identification of the license plate. Previously, such actions were punishable by a fine of 5,000 rubles or deprivation of rights for a period of 1 to 3 months.
The law came into force after its publication on the official legal information portal.
