Siluanov reminded about pension increase in Russia from January 2025
Pensions for working and non-working pensioners in Russia will be indexed by 7.3% from January 2025, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes. These social obligations of the country will be taken into account in the draft budget for the next three years.
Earlier, Svetlana Besarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy, and Veterans' Affairs, stated that next year, Russians' pensions will increase automatically and there will be no need to fill out additional applications.
According to her, initially they wanted to increase the payment by 4.5%, but the rate was adjusted to 7.3%, since the growth of inflation turned out to be higher than expected.
Today, non-working pensioners receive an average of 23.4 thousand rubles, and working pensioners - 18.6 thousand rubles.
