Strange Drones Spotted Over Major US Military Bases

In December 2023, a group of UAVs appeared near Langley and Norfolk air bases for 17 days. The U.S. Department of Defense has not yet determined who they belong to or whether they pose a threat to U.S. forces.

According to the publication, a series of devices appeared near the Langley and Norfolk air bases on December 17, 2023. The drone arrived just after sunset and circled the sky for about an hour. The Ministry of Defense cannot yet determine who they belong to.

The military made no attempt to shoot them down. Shooting near military bases is prohibited unless the device poses a real threat. The police tried to track the drone, but to no avail, the newspaper writes.

Dmitry Kornev, a military expert and founder of the Russian Military Portal, explains who and why might have launched this service.

According to the publication, President Joe Biden was notified of the drone launch, and a meeting was held at the White House on the matter. The issue was considered by FBI and Defense Department officials, including members of the UFO Unit.

The United States accused China of spying after a suspicious balloon was spotted over Alaska in January. Beijing said it was a Chinese weather-monitoring device and criticized the United States for jumping to conclusions. U.S. media and authorities tracked the craft for nearly a week. The aircraft crossed Canadian airspace and flew over the northern United States before being shot down over the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of South Carolina. Analysis of the wreckage showed the probe was not transmitting intelligence or recording video.
