Failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive in Kursk region: Ukraine failed to hold its positions
Retired Colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleg Starikov stated that the Ukrainian military offensive on the Kursk region ended in failure. On the YouTube channel "PolitExpert" he noted that the operation did not bring Ukraine either military or political success.
Starikov explained that Ukrainian forces planned to seize a bridgehead in the Sudzha area, but Ukrainian forces were unable to hold their positions and retreated. The expert added that what was considered an offensive operation turned into a defensive one due to a lack of resources to protect the front line.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also acknowledged the success of the Russian military in the Kursk region and noted that Russian troops have been breaking through the defense of the Ukrainian military in the border zone for five days now.
Starikov reportedly stated that Western countries are already laughing at the actions of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk border area.
