Russian Embassy in Norway Reduces Number of Diplomats
The Russian Embassy in Norway is to reduce the number of diplomats in its consular section, the diplomatic mission reported.
The telegram from the diplomatic mission states: “In connection with Norway’s request to reduce the diplomatic staff of the embassy by 17 October 2024, only two diplomats remain at the consulate.” The embassy’s main focus is on maintaining consular services without cancelling applications from citizens.
The embassy also stated that the consular department's capabilities will be limited, in particular in organizing on-site receptions and home services. It is recommended to work out the issue of exchanging foreign passports in advance and use the services of a Norwegian notary to prepare some documents.
