Last April, village needlewomen formed a volunteer unit called "Unity". Humanitarian aid is regularly sent to special military action zones. Once again, we collected knitted items, nets and other necessary things.
At first we gathered in local clubs, but there was not enough space to assemble the camouflage net. Together with the school principal and the village president, we decided on a place on the first floor of the school building where we could conveniently place the weaving structure and cutting table.
15 needlewomen receive materials from friends and acquaintances. The district initiative group "We are with you" also provides essential items. Volunteers help the front line not only with their skills, but also with their rubles. When you receive your pension, you voluntarily put a thousand rubles into a regular piggy bank.
"If you don't like it, you won't come here. We have to help our country. The special operations have united us all," said 87-year-old Lyudmila Shalina.
During their activities, Unity volunteers collected almost 210 thousand rubles for the needs of the Northern villages, knitted 135 nets, knitted 122 pairs of socks, donated dried vegetables, bed linen, military dry shower kits and medicines.

"At first we decided to buy tickets to the planetarium. The regional administration had already allocated cars to transport the volunteers to Novosibirsk, but, according to the volunteer leader, the women made a different decision. Sometimes you are surprised by such quiet patriotism," emphasized Tatyana Parfentsova, vice-speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
