Especially in countries with long maritime borders, such as Russia, carrier-based aviation is very important and is in high demand," Taskayev said.
In early October, the general director of the Krylov State Research Center, Oleg Savchenko, announced the development of a conceptual design for a modern aircraft carrier for the Russian Navy.
In March last year, former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Navy, retired Vice Admiral Vladimir Pepeliaev stated that the future fifth-generation fighter Su-57 is being considered as a carrier-based aircraft.
