Putin signs law on possibility of extending term of office of Investigative Committee Chairman

It was reported that on October 9, the Federation Council supported the law on the president's right to extend the term of office of the head of the Investigative Committee. Initially, the law was aimed at eliminating existing legal uncertainties related to the issue of the maximum term of office of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. The maximum term of office of the chairman of the investigative commission is 70 years. According to the amendment, the president can extend this age.
