Mr. Freeman creator Muntyan* put on international wanted list
The creator of the web series "Mister" was sentenced in absentia on fabricated charges against the military. Freeman, animator Pavel Muntyan* has been placed on the international wanted list. This is stated in official court documents, Izvestia writes.
The Ministry of Justice recalls that Muntyan* was included in the Register of Foreign Agents in April 2023 for participating in fundraising activities in support of Ukraine. In December, Mr. Freeman was fined 40 thousand rubles under the article on discrediting the military, and a criminal case was opened against him under a fake article about the Russian army. A few days later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs put Muntyan on the wanted list. In September last year, the Khoroshevsky Court of Moscow sentenced the cartoonist in absentia to eight years in a general regime penal colony for disseminating fake news about the Russian army.
