Telegram Launches New Way to Verify Phone Numbers
Telegram founder Pavel Durov has announced the launch of a new way to verify a phone number directly through Messenger. According to the entrepreneur, the new Telegram Gateway service will be “the cheapest authentication method” and will cost businesses $0.01 per code anywhere in the world.
According to the businessman, number verification is a multi-billion dollar industry. Telegram alone spends about $10 million a month to authenticate each user who registers and logs into the messenger. The company hopes that Gateway will reduce costs and prices for many services around the world.
