In our time, normal weather can become somewhat surprising when one anomaly follows another. This was exactly the same as the first snow in Moscow in the fall of 2024. It completely corresponded to the folk calendar of the Intercession and almost exactly matched the climate norms. The average date of the appearance of the white "fly" in the capital in the 21st century is October 16, but now it happened two days earlier, on the 14th.
Indeed, on Monday in Moscow and the region at the moment almost all types of precipitation are possible: rain, snow, wet snow, wet snow and snow pellets (recorded in the Timiryazevsky district). And we were lucky. Tula region was covered by freezing rain.
Monday will remain the coldest day of the week, the Russian Hydrometeorological Center warns. However, Tuesday will also be cool.
