Subzero temperatures are expected in Moscow on the night of October 15
The air temperature in Moscow on the night of Tuesday, October 15, will reach minus 0 degrees, the Moscow City Service Telegram channel reports.
Rain, including sleet, is expected to continue, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration. Drivers are urged to exercise caution on the roads and obey speed and distance limits due to severe weather conditions.
On the morning of October 14, the first snow fell in Moscow. At the same time, the previous night was the coldest since the beginning of October. The lowest temperature at VDNKh was 2.4 degrees, and in Lukhovitsy, Moscow Region, the air cooled to negative values.
The yellow danger level will remain in the Moscow region until October 15, as frosts are expected at night.
Due to bad weather, the data center urged Muscovites to switch to public transport. Heavy traffic was recorded on the Moscow Ring Road in the area of Leningradskoe Shosse, the center of the Third Transport Ring in the area of Berezhkovsky Bridge, and Yaroslavskoe Shosse in the area of Severianinsky Viaduct towards the outer side.
Accordingly, the Yandex, Yandex Go, Whoosh and MTS Urent services have temporarily suspended operations in Moscow due to bad weather. They are scheduled to resume operations in the future.
Meanwhile, Sheremetyevo Airport advised passengers to leave for the airport early. Passengers were also advised to get to the airport by Aeroexpress. Sheremetyevo continues to serve passengers and airlines on schedule.
