Efremov's lawyer stated that the defense is preparing documents for a petition for parole
The lawyer for actor Mikhail Efremov, who is serving a sentence in a penal colony for a fatal accident, is preparing documents to file an application for parole, lawyer Yuri Padalko told Izvestia.
According to him, the actor suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and has problems with the cardiovascular system. Health problems prevented him from working in a sewing workshop. Padalko also drew attention to the fact that Efremov is in good condition in the colony.
"The defense collects health certificates from the colony and receives certificates. (...) To achieve a positive result, the documents will be collected carefully," the lawyer emphasized.
He added that the defence would not rush to present the materials to the court, since the goal was "to get a result, not to make a fuss."
