The court fined Perm residents who prevented the management company from repairing the sewerage system

The owner of an apartment in a multi-apartment building in Perm did not allow the management company to repair the sewerage system for two years. Specialists were not allowed into the building to clear the blockage, the district court press service reported.

"The management company began receiving complaints from residents of the building about inconveniences due to the smell of sewage and flooding. The sewer pipe in one of the apartments needed to be inspected and replaced. However, the apartment owners voluntarily did not allow access to the water supply. "The agency then filed a lawsuit against them."

The court ruled that the management company has a legal obligation to maintain and repair the common property of the building, but the residents are preventing this. The court ordered the apartment owner to manage the management company. Failure to comply with this requirement entails a fine of 500 rubles per day for each person who fails to comply with the court's decision.
