Large families will be able to visit the Hermitage for free

From October 16, all members of a large family will be able to visit the Central Museum Complex of the State Hermitage Museum free of charge. This was reported by the museum's press service.

Until now, large families could visit the General Staff Building and the Imperial Porcelain Factory Museum free of charge at any time, and the central museum complex once a month (the third Thursday of each month). On other days, entrance tickets were offered at a special price of 300 rubles.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Culture announced the launch of a pilot project to introduce digital IDs for large families. This will help you confirm your right to benefits. During the experiment, the Federal Museum is testing the possibility of interaction between the State Services Portal and the automated ticket accounting system.

When applying for a free entrance ticket to the Hermitage, members of a large family can present to the cashier and ticket inspector the information contained in a paper certificate confirming the status of a large family, and an electronic certificate from the government services portal.

Free tickets to the Central Museum Complex, the General Staff Building and the Imperial Porcelain Factory Museum can be purchased in advance on the official Hermitage website or at the box office on the day of your visit.
