Major repairs in the building of the Korenovsk psychoneurological boarding school where the woman died have not been done for 37 years
Every year, only external repairs were carried out on the building.
Major repairs to the main building of the Korenovsk Psychoneurological Boarding School (PNI), where a woman died as a result of a ceiling and floor collapse, have not been carried out since the institution began operating. This was reported by the Krasnodar TV channel, citing data from the regional prosecutor's office.
"There were no major repairs, almost every year only routine repairs were carried out," the TV channel quotes a source in the Kuban supervisory department.
Information from the official website of the Korenovsk PNI shows that the institution began work on January 1, 1987, although the main building is older. As shown on the Rosreestr portal, the construction of the two-story building was completed in 1977. In official documents, it is indicated as "non-residential".
Let me remind you that on the night of October 13, an interfloor ceiling collapsed in one of the buildings of the psychoneurological boarding school located in Korenovsk on Buvaltseva Street. About 100 square meters collapsed. A woman's body was found at the scene. It was later discovered that the 50-year-old ward nurse had died. The patients were not injured, they were evacuated from the building and taken to other social service institutions in the district. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of negligence.
