A resident of the Belgorod region wanted to call a prostitute, but became a victim of scammers
In the Belgorod region, a 21-year-old resident of the city of Alekseyevka paid for his desire to use the services of a woman with low social responsibility, as a result of which the young man, instead of enjoying his vacation, found himself involved in a fraudulent scheme. This was reported by the local press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As the young man said, while on a business trip to another region, he decided to call a prostitute. He found a suitable website, chose a woman and contacted her at the phone number provided. The cost of the service was 3,000 rubles, which suited the guy. He immediately transferred the money and began to wait for the prostitute to arrive.
"After the transfer was approved, residents of Alekseyevka were also required to pay insurance premiums and the cost of first aid kits," the police press service reported.
The man continued to transfer the funds that had been fraudulently taken from him under various pretexts. As a result, the Belgorod resident transferred more than 120,000 rubles to the phone number, but there was no money. The client reported this to the woman he had been in contact with. She got angry and told him that she would not receive services until he paid all his dues. As a result, the young man fell silent.
Immediately after the incident, he turned to his stepfather for help, and his father advised him to file a police report, which he did and returned to his hometown.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case under the article “Fraud causing serious harm to citizens” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
