St. Petersburg resident to return contract payment for failure to fulfill duties at SVO

In early September, Ukrainians mobilized to St. Petersburg received compensation for their participation in the SVO through the court. The man did not have Russian citizenship, but in the fall of 2022 he received a mobilization order and went to the DPR and LPR to carry out combat missions on the side of the Russian army. Almost a year later, in July 2023, Yuri was discharged from military service due to age restrictions, and in December of the same year he received a passport giving him citizenship of the Russian Federation. The administration refused to provide payments and benefits, but the court found the refusal illegal.
