A dead miner was found at a mine in Kuzbass
A miner was found dead after five days of searching at the Kuzbass mine.
The body of a driller who was trapped under rubble at the Mokhovskiy coal mine of the Kuzbassrazrezugol company was found without signs of life five days after the search began, TASS reports. The search was conducted on October 10 in the Belovsky municipal district, where a collapse of soil and rocks occurred during open-pit coal mining.
As a result of the accident, two workers were trapped under the rubble. One of them was rescued and received medical assistance. However, the body of the second employee was later found, this was confirmed by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Kemerovo Region.
An investigation is underway at the scene to determine all the circumstances of the tragedy. In connection with this accident, safety measures at the mine have been strengthened. This incident served as an opportunity to confirm the safety of the working environment at other similar facilities in the region.
A landslide occurred at the Mokhovsky quarry in Kuzbass, resulting in several people being injured and a case being opened for violating safety regulations during the work.
Earlier, in the Neryungri region of Yakutia, a rockfall occurred at the Vostochnaya Denisovskaya mine, as a result of which one person died.
