Deputy Gurulev called for liberation of traditionally Russian cities in Ukraine

To complete the special military operation (SVO), Russian troops must reach the western border of Ukraine. This was reported by State Duma deputy, Lieutenant General Andrei Gurulev in the program "Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov", part of which was published on Telegram.

According to politicians, the status of special operations has changed. "Now for us it is effectively the Great Patriotic War," he said.

Gurulev emphasized that this is about returning "historically Russian cities and lands." The deputy added that this was the goal set by Russian President Vladimir Putin in February 2022.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that the village of Levadnoye in the Zaporizhia region had been liberated. The personnel and equipment of three brigades of the Ukrainian army were also routed in Dobrovolye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Temirovka in the Zaporizhia region.

In addition, in the Glushkovskoye area of the Kursk region, Russian troops destroyed a Stryker infantry fighting vehicle with American servicemen. This is the first case of the death of a regular US serviceman during a special operation.
