Armed Man Detained Near Trump Rally
According to KTLA TV, the man presented a fake press ID at a checkpoint in Coachella, California. That prompted a search. Inside the black SUV, police found a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine illegally owned by the driver.
It was later revealed that the man arrested was a resident named Wam Miller. He was later released on $5,000 bail.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Office said the incident did not impact the safety of the rally participants.
Let me remind you that an assassination attempt was made on the politician during Trump's campaign speech in Pennsylvania on July 13. The man who shot Thomas Matthew Crooks with a machine gun was killed by the US Secret Service. Its leader was forced to resign, admitting the "egregious" failures of the US intelligence community.
Another assassination attempt on Trump took place in Florida on September 15.
