Mitvol demands 954 million rubles from the contractor for the construction of the Krasnoyarsk metro
In June 2022, Oleg Mitvol was detained at Vnukovo Airport in Moscow. He was accused of fraud amounting to about 900 million rubles during the construction of the Krasnoyarsk metro.
Let us recall that, according to the investigation, in 2013, the construction of the Krasnoyarsk metro was stopped due to a lack of funds. Later, 950 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget to coordinate the design documentation for the construction of the metro. This was done by the Krasnoyarsk Trust for Engineering and Construction Surveys, whose board of directors was Oleg Mitvol.
On September 14, 2023, Mitvol fully admitted his guilt. He was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison. Mitvol's lawyers appealed this decision. On November 23 last year, the Krasnoyarsk District Court returned the case to the court of first instance.
In March 2024, it became known that the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court considered the appeal and left the verdict unchanged.
