Putin: People's trust and support are very important for authorities at any level
Reliance on people, their trust and support are vital for all levels of government. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the Chairperson of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Ella Pamfilova.
The Chairman of the National Electoral Commission noted that elections are all the more important in difficult situations, as people want to have highly accountable, predictable and understandable government at all levels.
In response to this comment, the head of the Russian Federation said that this is very important for any government that relies on people, their trust and support.
In August, President Putin said that the Ukrainian government had intended to destroy the cohesion of Russian society but had failed. One of the enemy's obvious goals, he said, was to sow discord, dissension, intimidation and destruction of unity.
