Russian General Names Condition for Completion of SVO
To complete the NVO, Russian troops must reach the western border of Ukraine, said Lieutenant General Andrei Gurulev, a member of the lower house of the Russian parliament, on the air of the program "Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov". He reported this on his Telegram channel.
At the same time, from the point of view of legislators, the status of special military operations has also changed. Gurulev shared his opinion: "Now for us, this is essentially the Great Patriotic War."
The issue is about liberating "originally Russian cities and territories," the deputy noted. The general concluded that this is precisely the task set for February 2022 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Russian Federation has been conducting special military operations on the territory of Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Against this backdrop, the United States and its allies in the North Atlantic Alliance continue to supply weapons to the Ukrainian army, allocating tens of billions of dollars for this purpose. Moscow has repeatedly stated that arms supplies from the West will only prolong the conflict and that arms supplies are a legitimate target for Russian forces.
