Murmansk to host film marathon of films about the Great Patriotic War in the Arctic
A marathon of war films will begin in Murmansk next week, the regional Ministry of Culture reported.
From October 16 to 30, in the city library and the Center for Contemporary Art "Sopki, 21A", viewers will be able to see films from the collection of the International Film Festival of Northern Letters, covering the events that took place in the North during the Great Patriotic War.
"Viewers will see a film dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi troops in the Arctic, as well as a film dedicated to the heroism and courage of Soviet soldiers who fought on the Kola Peninsula," the department explained.
