Novosibirsk to Take Additional Measures to Prepare Roads for Winter Season
He stressed the need for continuous progress in this area and noted that new measures are introduced every year to improve the quality of road construction.
At the next operational meeting, the governor expects a report on what measures have been taken or will be implemented over the winter to improve the condition of the road surface.
Regional Transport and Road Management Minister Anatoly Kostylevskiy reported on the ongoing preparation of road services for winter. Currently, the preparation of the road repair network for extreme cold is being completed and an analysis of the condition of permanent road surfaces in various areas of the region is being conducted.
The routes of students' movement are also checked and any defects found on the roads are eliminated. In addition, snow strips and barriers will be installed to protect the roads.
