Russian woman arrested in Turkey for throwing newborn baby in airport toilet
A newborn baby was found in a bathtub at Antalya airport and taken to hospital, and police managed to detain his mother, the Hurriet portal reports.
According to available information, the newborn was found in the bathroom by airport staff, and the woman immediately called the police and an ambulance. Twelve minutes later, airport security guards detained the Russian tourist who was giving birth in the bathroom and abandoned the baby.
The woman and her friend were trying to buy tickets for the next flight home. The newborn survived and was hospitalized. The circumstances of the case are being established.
Earlier it was reported that a Crimean resident was accused of abandoning his child in a sewer pit. The incident occurred in the village of Vinogradnoye in the Leninsky district. According to investigators, after giving birth, the 27-year-old woman went out into the yard and threw the child into a toilet pit. The local resident confessed to the incident, a criminal case was opened against the mother, and she has already been charged.
Earlier, a girl from Buryatia gave birth to a child and threw him into a ditch.
