NZMU completes preparations for the installation of plant equipment

The methanol synthesis unit column has arrived at the port of Nakhodka. It is almost fully ready for installation at the construction site, EPI DEITA.RU reports.

A crane with a lifting capacity of 1,700 tons was built specifically for the crude methanol stabilization columns up to 80 m long. The pillar bases are also ready.

"We are moving to the active phase of preparatory work. Foundation work is underway at all the plant's facilities, and this year we plan to begin installing the main equipment at our main site - the methanol synthesis unit," said Viktor Grebenyukov, Managing Director of NZMU.

The construction site is currently undergoing final excavation work. The project involves over 5,000 people and over 200 pieces of equipment. Most of the contractors are local companies.

Once launched, NZMU will produce 1.8 million tons of methanol per year. It is expected that by mid-2036 the plant will replenish budgets at all levels by 25 billion rubles. After that, tax deductions in the amount of 13.5 billion rubles per year.
