The only branch of Moscow State University in Europe has been closed

The leaders in the liquidation of universities were foreign countries. The branch of the university was located in Kopersi, Slovenia.

According to TASS, the only branch of Moscow State University in Europe, located in the Slovenian city of Koper, has closed.

MSU Rector Viktor Sadovnichy stated that the initiator of the university's liquidation is a foreigner and the Russian Ministry of Education and Science has nothing to do with it.

"We received a letter from the management of our partner university about the closure of the branch. We did not close it. The Ministry of Education and Science has nothing to do with this, as does MSU. We reported receiving the letter," Sadovnichy said.

The rector noted that the branch was opened at the request of Slovenia. This makes it the first foreign representative office of Moscow State University in Europe, operating on the basis of the University of Primorska in Koper. Sadovnichy emphasized that Moscow State University has never refused international cooperation and was not the initiator of the deterioration of relations.
