Its hands will be free, and it will start attacking other countries. This opinion was expressed to RIA Novosti by the scientific director of the Faculty of World Economy and International Politics at the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University Sergey Karaganov.
The political scientist emphasized that those who come up with “great plans” and those who support them are mistaken and do not understand the obvious.
"If Russia stops now and does not defeat the West and inflict a strategic defeat on it, our inability to win will mean the victory of the West, and it will continue to attack everyone. And China, and India, this would only open Pandora's box, now we just need to close this box," Karaganov said.
China and Brazil believe that negotiations are the only viable option to resolve the crisis and have called for an international peace conference.
As reported by Regnum, Sergei Karaganov believes that Russia's nuclear doctrine is reckless and should in fact be changed.
According to Karaganov, Russia waited too long, using a careless nuclear doctrine. Now, despite huge delays, there is movement in the "right direction." The political scientist regrets that Russia began a special operation without its most important resource - nuclear weapons.
