Russian Defense Ministry: Ukrainian Armed Forces Lost Two Leopard Tanks in Kursk Region in 24 Hours
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region have lost more than 300 people and seven tanks, including two Leopards, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"Ukrainian troops suffered more than 300 casualties in the Kursk direction in one day, seven tanks were destroyed, including two Leopards," the Defense Ministry said in a statement. They added that eight Ukrainian soldiers were captured by Russian troops. Since the start of hostilities in this direction, Kyiv has lost more than 226,000 soldiers and 157 tanks.
Fighting in the Kursk region continues. Russian forces have launched a new round of counteroffensive, which has worsened the situation, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky said. The commander of the Chechen battalion "Akhmat" Apti Alaudinov reported the liberation of 15 settlements in the Kursk direction, the National News Service reports.
