Man wanted for 17 years for murder detained in Novosibirsk
A man wanted on charges of murder since 2007 has been detained in Novosibirsk.
Law enforcement officers stopped a 39-year-old resident of the Kemerovo Region at a police station and checked his documents, during which it was discovered that he had been wanted for 17 years. While attempting to hide from the police, the suspect was detained and taken to the Russian Interior Ministry department at the Novosibirsk railway station.
In addition, a combat pistol with eight cartridges was found on the detainee. In connection with this, a criminal case was opened under the article on illegal handling of weapons and ammunition.
The detainee will be taken to the Kemerovo region for further investigative activities.
