Novosibirsk will appear on the new 10-ruble banknote
New banknotes may appear by the end of 2025.
Banknotes with the image of Krasnoyarsk entered circulation in 1998. On the front side of the banknote is depicted the Common Bridge and the Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel. On the other side is the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station.
Production was stopped in 2013, but it was decided to resume production in 2023. Design changes are currently being discussed and are expected to be implemented by the end of 2025.
As reported by the press service of the Bank of Russia, the front side of the banknotes is planned to feature an image of Novosibirsk, and the back side - cultural monuments of the Siberian Federal District. The exact details are not yet known. This is reported by MK from Novosibirsk.
