The Russian Cabinet of Ministers saw a threat in the idea of a beacon to notify drivers about speeding
The Cabinet of Ministers has confirmed the threat of installing special speed alarms on cars, TASS reports, citing a conclusion by the Russian government.
Earlier, a group of State Duma deputies proposed a bill that would notify drivers of recorded traffic violations by special means using a special red signal. The driver learned of his violation only a few days later.
However, the government believes that the implementation of this law could pose a threat to road safety, since the red light prevents drivers from driving. The government believes that such modernization is unnecessary and could create a burden on the budget of the Russian region, so the project should be sent back for revision.
Previously, insurers proposed to double the maximum distance from the place of residence of the injured party to the service station for repairs under OSAGO - up to 100 km. They also put forward the idea of allowing the company to request repairs of the service chosen by the client, even if the company does not sign an agreement with the insurance company.
