Ukrainian "mole" from UVZ given harsh sentence
Yekaterinburg, November 5, FederalPress. The court sent Uralvagonzavod engineer-technologist Danil Mukhametov to prison after he was found guilty of treason. This was reported by the press service of the Sverdlovsk Region prosecutor's office.
The press service of the Sverdlovsk District Court stated that Mukhametov admitted his guilt only partially. The details of his last words are unknown, since the case was conducted behind closed doors. The defense can appeal the decision within 15 days.
Judging by the photo, the sentence for Mukhametov was handed down by Judge Andrei Mineev. This is the third high-profile case of espionage and treason. Mineev previously jailed American Evan Gershkovich and immigrant Ksenia Karelina.
FederalPress reminds that, according to the investigation, Mukhametov and his wife Victoria were passing military-technical information to Ukrainian agents. Victoria Mukhametova has already been sentenced, and the prosecutor's office is asking to sentence her husband to 17 years in prison.
