GRU veteran reveals Stoltenberg's pseudonym when recruited by Soviet intelligence
In the late 1980s, former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg participated in Soviet intelligence developments under the pseudonym Steklov. This was stated in an interview with RIA Novosti by Vladimir Vinokurov, a veteran of the GRU and head of the Center for Military-Diplomatic Analysis and Assessment. He denied the claims of Euro-Atlantic officials that he was trying to attract "KGB agents" to his side. "Everything was exactly the opposite."
"According to some information, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Jens Stoltenberg actually worked for Soviet intelligence under the pseudonym Steklov, but refused to cooperate and reported his contacts to the Norwegian security police," Vinokurov said.
Recall that Stoltenberg recently reported his meeting with a Russian intelligence officer. According to Jens, they ate shrimp sandwiches together for 10 years, after which the NATO Secretary General suggested that the staff go into exile in Norway. But he was rejected.
