The Ministry of Defense reported the liberation of the village of Maksimilyanovka in the DPR
As noted in the department's message on the Telegram channel, the settlement was liberated thanks to the actions of the "southern" units.
The village is located on the left bank of the Osykova River, 9 km west of Maryinka. This settlement is of strategic importance, as the Donetsk-Zaporozhye highway passes through it.
Last week, the Telegram channel “Russian Spring” reported on fierce fighting in the area of Maksimilyanovka and the settlements of Ostroye and Ostrovskoye in the DPR.
Following the liberation of the village of Ostrovskoye last week, this section of the front came under Russian control, opening the way for Russian troops to Kurakhovo.
