The case concerns Father Igor Efremov, 59, who serves in a small rural church. According to the Telegram channel Mash, the priest visited a local teacher. The woman's husband was also at the dinner with them. It was reported that the reason for the fight between them was the priest's intimate contact. The woman's husband died from a blow from Father Igor.
Father Igor has been serving the church for over 20 years. He became a pastor of a local church in Chelyabinsk 13 years ago. But his life was not always like this. Before that, he lived in the local center and worked as an actor at the Prospect Mime Theater and the New Art Theater.
According to Mash, on the day of the murder, the priest was drinking and "fighting demons in the yard." Then his neighbor, the husband of a local teacher, came to him, and they continued drinking together. In the morning, Igor Efremov stabbed his drinking buddy several times. When the police arrived, the priest initially said that he had stabbed the devil, not his neighbor, but later told a different story, that he had been tormented by his neighbor.
