R-158 The third stage of duplicating Gagarin Avenue begins in the area of the Nizhny Novgorod-Arzamas-Saratov road. As part of this stage, a transport interchange with an overpass will be created. The State Road Administration told NewsNN how the construction of important objects for Nizhny Novgorod residents is progressing.
The third stage passes through the glades of the Kstovsky district and then through Novinki. After that, the R-125 road goes to Ryazhsk - Kasimov - Nizhny Novgorod. At this stage, it is planned to build a multi-level transport interchange, including an overpass with reinforced concrete beams 68.6 meters long. The overpass is a monolithic structure consisting of three reinforced concrete beams. The foundation of the facility consists of 222 piles from 11 to 16 meters long. To date, work has begun on mass driving of piles on the third and fourth supports. In total, about 100 people and at least 70 units of specialized equipment work at the site every day. By the end of the year, during the same period, the construction of four monolithic reinforced concrete supports should be completed, while it is planned to partially install span beams and fill the roadbed of the transport interchange. Construction is planned to be completed in 2025. At another construction site of the Gagarin Avenue bypass, work is currently underway to reconstruct communications, excavate and fill the roadbed, and create pile fields for the interchange.
